Can you mend Doc Martens?

The air bubble in my left Doc Marten (they are shoes, not boots) seems to have burst. As a result every time I walk around it sounds like I'm deflating.

Does anyone know if it's possible to mend this, or am I stuck hissing until I replace my shoes?
