The Super League Club Lyngby Boldklub is in big trouble as the company behind the club, Hellerup Finans, is in imminent danger of closing.
But behind the scenes, high pressure is being sought to find a solution for the club, and in one of the possible rescue scenarios, the Premier League club Brighton is included.
It writes the finance company InsideBusiness, which has gained insight into the quest for capital for the empty clubhouse.
Already this summer, from Lyngby side was in dialogue with the club, but then the dialogue was interrupted when the English club played in the best English series.
The dialogue is still alive, and in Lyngby, Brighton hopes that Lyngby will help Lyngby with the current issues of becoming co-owner and gaining access to Lyngby talents in the future.
When the calendar changes to February, Lyngby has to pay three million kroner in salary to the staff staff, which includes the entire team's squad, as well as paying fixed operating expenses of one million kroner.
In addition, the club draws around a considerable tax bill of three million kroner, which is also due at the end of the month.
InsideBusiness also states that Lyngby's management has held meetings with Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality during the week.
The meetings have taken place that the club will take over parts of the area where Lyngby Stadium is located, in order to build youth housing that can be sold further.
Lyngby has already gone bankrupt
Back in the 2001/2002 season, Lyngby Boldklub went bankrupt. The club played the whole spring season with amateur players before being forced to force. Since then, the royal blue coders have fought back to the best row, and last season Lyngby got surprising bronze medals in the Super League.
In this season there has been a long time between the good results, and in autumn 2017, head coach David Nielsen left the club. He took over the coach job in AGF.
Lyngby Boldklub entered the 12th place for the winter break. The club has two points down to Helsingør and four points down to Randers on 13th and 14th.
Following the plan, Lyngby will play the first match during the fall season against Brøndby on February 11th.
