Is anyone planning to go this year and are there any recomendations?

Already booked to see 10 shows. The two Best Of The Fests are a must see, Daniel Kitson is doing his show for a fiver and the Comedy Blue TV recording is FREE.

Adam Hills, Mark Thomas and Phil Nichol are always worth watching. Jimmy Carr is also doing a show on the last Sunday.

Is that the same 'Comedy Steve' that used to post on here?

My personal recommendations would have to be:

Richard Herring - Seen this show already, he definitely gets better with age. Top stuff

Marcus Brigstocke - Dry and witty, great comic

Mark Thomas - Political genius. Thought provoking

Frankie Boyle - Again I've seen most of his show and it was laugh out loud funny. Superb

Adam Hills - Solidly funny

Lucy Porter - Worth seeing just to drool over, and this show isn't bad either

Stephen K Amos - Possibly the best stand up at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. Startlingly funny

Jimmy Carr - Over exposed but still very capably stand up

Andy Parsons & Mitchell & Webb should be good.

Although I can't make either of them and so had to settle for Ross Noble & Jimmy Carr

I saw Andy Parsons, Boothby Graffoe and The Goodies at the Fringe, and all are down here and come highly recommended. I want to try to get to see Alun Cochrane, Mitchell and Webb and Jimmy Carr. I've also booked tickets to see Tim Vine when he appears in Worthing in November.

I've got tickets to see Alun Cochrane. I saw him as a guest of Nicholas Parson's show up in Edinburgh and he looked pretty good. So looking forward to it on Sunday evening. It could either be a great way to cheer myself up after Sunday's result or a cracking end to the evening.
