They have managed to get £250,000 in just two months. A Bantam fan on the Seagulls msg board has told us.

I know a deal has been done with the rent at Valley Parade (per the BBC website) , the players & staff have extended their wage referral to 16th August and they are also trying to to put into place a structure to buy the ground from Gordon Gibb.

Good for the fans for not giving up.

I had criticised them before for the letting their attendances drop when they were relegated but all credit to them now.

Lets hope they manage to get out of this. It will be a shame to see any fold.

Totally self inflicted wounds so who cares ?

Some fans claerly do otherwise the money would not have been raised - Ernest in the minority (again)

I don't care about Bradford as it is miles away and is no significance to me at all

Good thing all the other clubs didn't adopt your stance in our hour of need.

But if Falmer stadium is of National Importance then you should care about Bradford??

If they care about Falmer then you should show some care towards them IMO.

So Bradford can piss millions away on Carbone, Collymore etc and I'm meant to feel sorry for them ?
Same as Leeds and all the other teams in that position

Dear oh dear - the Alf Garnett mood hasn't lifted has it.

Is the poor weather that makes you do this ?

Didn't our initial vulnerability stem from similar sorts of problems with players on long contracts signed in the glory years?

We really must be careful of re-writing history.

I hope Bradford's fans come out of this with a team to support. How much do they actually need to keep the thing afloat at the moment, then? Wage deferrals don't make the liabilities go away, just pile up.

So you will have a whip round for Leeds then Bean Brain ? I doubt it as you will be skint once you have weighed me in :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

I would help raise money for another club if required - not saying I would directly pay money as I don't agree with the £40 note fund

My point is that these fans didn't sit around moaning about the mistakes that were made.

They got on with it and I think £250K in 2 months is a remarkable amount of money to raise.

That's hardly an accusation you could throw at Brighton fans, either.

If we did just "sit around moaning" we wouldn't have had a club since 1997.

It wasn't meant to be any form of accusation but more of an observation.

I admire fans who get off their backside and do something for their club.

As you say we have had plenty of practise.
