....and earnms the other clubs money.
if we wanted to help other clubs we would have put more effort last season into loaning out fringe players that don't get much first team experience(Elder,Butters, Sullivan etc.). As for match practice and boosting fitness levels, well it's not useful practice for reserve team players, new signings and trialists that need to be playing against football league teams to realistically asses them and boost their fitness. their not going to learn anything it ill be and easy win even if they play to a tenth of their ability. what a waste time playing BH:mexican:The same could be said of all the Sussex based non league teams that we play in friendlies but at least it gives the players match practice to get fit and harbours good relations with the other clubs. Doesnt cost us a lot in travel expenses and earnms the other clubs money.

I can see his point, I mean we never get to play any big boys in the Summer.

Unfortunatley the big boys are now all too busy playing each other in swanky money making pre-season tournaments to bother with the likes of lower league clubs.
I think you'll find Crawley's pre-season schedule includes games against Spurs and Arsenal.
