[Misc] Bet 365 settled bet and then took the cash

I had a bet tonight on 2 shots on target musiala, 2 shots havertz and Germany to win. Bet365 settled the bet and I cashed out. I’ve just gone into my account and seen that they have taken the cash out of my account. There is obviously a big issue as musiala goal was the first question to select with the chat bot. They said his second shot wasn’t on target. It may not have been however by settling a bet they have stopped me having any chance of an inplay cashout. They could settle every bet to avoid people cashing out and then just take the money out the account .

Plus how can they take out of my account. But if scam. At least payout the cashout amount they screwed up or the very worst give back the bet cash.

I’ve gambled for decades and never seen anything like it.

Almost like the payment to you was provisional, a breathing space for them to take back.

Seems like that, but they have put me at a disadvantage … I could have cashed out anytime after. I may have cashed out after it dropped to a certain amount.

Luckily it’s only £40 but I am shocked that they can take the cash out of my account once I have cashed in a bet. If you ever get a good winner… cashout and take off the site.

I had a rigmarole with Betfair where they wouldn’t let me draw fairly significant winnings, because their records showed that on that bank card I was up since the very beginning. I had to first use an older bank card (lucky I hadn’t destroyed and cancelled it), draw to take that longterm ins and outs to zero, then use the more recent card for withdrawing. Not quite sure why …. think it was anti money laundering laws.

Sounds like anyway they can avoid a payout.

Happened to me once, but I managed to withdraw the money before they ‘corrected’ the SoT. My account was then in arrears and I never used it again.
I had it where I won £1000 a fee years ago and I withdrew it straight away, my account went into minus and they put it was to zero 24hr later as you can't owe money to a bookies and I still use my bet365 account now

It’s called closed loop funding - only transacting with a known single source (essentially reduces ml risk as can’t layer the funds elsewhere) they aren’t using it in the spirit of what it’s meant to be used for though, just making it awkward to withdraw funds

Had a similar issues years back when won £1,600 on an Acca they were insistent I paid it back to card I didn’t have access to anymore (lost it) so I had to login, delete it and submit a new card (that they re verified was mine again)

Had something similar the other month, message them on the website. They will reply with 'the rules', but keep arguing your case, eventually they will cave in and as a good will gesture give you the money as free bets. Good luck.
