I worked in a sandwich bar about 10yrs back to fill in time and help out my family, who owned it. Since then I am very picky/fussy on how a sandwich/roll is made.

One of my favourites sarnie bars is - Appetite on Davigdor road. Good chicken and bacon in french stick.

Whats yours?

The one in Cliffe High Street in Lewes, think its called Doorstops. When I was younger and worked Saturdays at intersport that always saw me well.

I like the Galley on Church Street a lot, and Toast on Trafalgar Street is very good as well though dont go there often

Bagelman is lovely if that counts
chicken, bacon, melted brie, on onion bagel with cranberry and lettuce
mmmmmmmm

I also find a lack of a good bacon and fried egg roll/sarnie as most places have now gone a bit poncy with unusual fillings.....maybe at 36 im getting old!!

I used to like the one that used to be next to the Pavillion Gardens, between there and North Street.

The Panini's there were out of this world.

It's closed now, think it's a Thai restaurant or something?
