wherever the money is
Used to meet up the Grenedier as it was our local and then head off to the Hove Park Tavern as it was close to the ground. Tavern was always good on match days :)

I used to drive down from East Grinstead in those days, we usually had beer and lunch in the Sandrock at Ditchling before staggering into the ground at the last possible moment.

Went in phases, but used to invariably just drink in Brighton by the station (Nelson/Railway) before catching the Football Special cattle transporter over to Hove. Time permitting, would often have just the one in the pub by Hove station - pub with the ever-so-contrived longest name in the world at one point - or the Hove Park Tavern. But as the urinals were invariably ripped off the wall in both establishments and the floors swimming in wee, tended to make but a fleeting visit.
