Still, pretty tough to beat Annie Haslam, who was pitch perfect every time I saw Renaissance live. The songs were also very demanding - for me she had way better control and timbre than such as Kathrine Jenkins;

Tell you what though, I saw this lady, the sweetheart of the forces, interviewed on tv a year ago. The presenter asked her to sing a few lines, and she shyly complied - embarrassed about her aging voice.... and it sent shivers up my spine!

Maria Carey was so bad she was dropped by her label. She's married to a producer who then produced her albums. Not fit to clean the shoes of Whitney (at her pre-drug) best IMHO.
