Beer idea yesterday

I had a couple of drinks in the Old Arcade boozer yesterday.

Thankfully they laid on cold tinnies from a barrel at two
quid a pop.

Wot a great idea - took the real hassle out of waiting at
a bar and then having some ignorant arse*ole push in front
of you.

Top stuff......aside from the result, that kind of gesture by
the cardiff peeps made my day.

Lids on the plastic glasses at the Millenium Stadium so you dont spill half your pint when you leave the queue

I drank in the Old Arcade too, though the queue for getting beer that wasn't in tins was not too hideous.

I found it a really excellent pub: it was very near the ground; it wasn't very crowded; they served draught Brains; they let us drink it on the pavement outside; they gave us "stiff" plastic glasses rather than floppy ones; the bouncers didn't have an attitude problem; and the girl serving in the back bar was a stunner of Fishersgate proportions.

agreed, COPB, and it also had the advantage of being a main
thoroughfare for fans, so plenty of fans to watch coming
through......really gave a feel for the day.
