Off to the USA, to the states of Trump’s core support.
Poldark..... e be dark.
Poldark was great. Will watch Balls and Trump on catch up but not expecting much from it.
It's a shame they've finished Poldark as there are 12 books in total.
Why?... I thought the Labour ex MP caught the essence of what Trumpism is to his voting public... he spoke to ordinary folk, didn't deliberately seek out oddballs and extremists.... a fair set of exchanges, look forward to the next episode.Well that lacked substance.
Its Coming Back for another series
I missed that. When was it announced?

Balls showed why he didn't become labour leader. He's nice, credulous and normal. Its one thing having a vision for your country. But you need to have a vision how to win too.
There weren't any extreme views to challenge, exactly what it said on the tin.I hoped that this programme would be interesting and since Balls stepped away from the Commons, he seems to have become a less childish personality.
But it was as dull as dishwater. He was trying to be Louis Theroux, who's done exactly this type of programme brilliantly, but failed miserably. A lack of personality and he lacked bite to politely challenge the views he heard.

He didn't enter the fray assuming that every Trump supporter was a gun toting racist.... at least in this episode, he highlighted very well that there were plenty of normal voters who thought that Trumpism resonates with their ideas of what the US should or could be, simple.
Theroux makes a career of talking to the fringes of society.. those right out there, this program was not about the fringes, it was about the majority who mostly occupy the Republican middle ground.
