Wife's friend moved there so she has been twice. Very expensive, cabbies will rip you off. Beautiful beaches - heavy undertow. Not easy to drive around - watch out for the locals they walk on the road and its easy for a tourist to run into them if you are driving. On the good side for you they drive on the left.
Leave your wiper blades up and your car will be washed - you need to pay them.
Chefettes are the only cheapish places to eat (fastfood)
When are you going - where are you staying and what are you after? I can find out easy enough wife's friends been there 4 years now.
