Early days but already some interesting stats as to average attendances in the Championship so far this season.
Not surprisingly the three relegated clubs, Hull, QPR & Burnley have seen average attendances lower than last campaign & the three promoted clubs in MK Dons, Bristol City & Preston seeing increased attendances.
However, of the 18 teams in the Championship last season, 8 have seen increased average attendances, with Middlesbrough leading the way in +16.5%, Birmingham +15.8% & Reading +12.0%.
10 clubs, including BHA have seen attendances lower. Cardiff down 28.4%, Forest down 19.9% & Huddersfield lower at 19.9%. Our attendances at 9.7% lower is the 5th biggest drop. Last campaign we averaged 26,169. This year so far 23,647.
Still impressive, with only Derby 29,762 & Leeds 25,135 with higher averages.
