I dont see te point in lieing when there's nothing to hide, our attendances are excellent and we should be proud of them, not try to artificially make them look higher than they are like Palace do.

Definatly not 25500 at the game but if that is the amount of tickets that were sold then that will be the figure that the taxman sees.

From a marketing point of view if the seat has been paid for then it should be included in the attendance figures. Mr Barber will use this to his advantage when he is negotiating bringing in new business to the club and introducing/growing revenue streams.

Been to Arsenal loads of time, they all ways report, sold out, full house, 61,000 and there's empty seats all over the place! Couldn't understand last season we were reporting "game sold out" then saying only 18,500 there with full house away support!

Last game of the season 2011/2012 away at Barnsley only about 7k in the ground but attendance was announced as 10k+

The club cant win really with this. People were whinging that they couldnt get a ticket last season, when the attendence showed number of actual phyiscal attendees for example 19,000 - it was huff and puff. Now it appears that the club have gone by tickets sold, in theory, this is what it should be as the ticket has been sold to someone, regardless of physical presence.

As has already been stated there were empty seats in all areas of the ground and before the announcement I guestimated the crowd at around 23000.
