Did anyone see the documentary on Killer Kane and the New york Dolls on BBC4, either Friday or Saturday night .... errrr maybe not as you'll all most probably out on the p**s.
Anyway, I've heard the Dolls in the past but never really got into them but I was 'blown away' by the documentary. Must be my age ...
very strange watching a band play early punk, but dressed as a glam rock band ... very strange.
A bit sad though, Killer kanes been out of music for 30 years, alcoholic, drug addict and all round failure, then hooks up with Mormon's, plays in the reunion gig in London, has a wail of a time ... and promptly dies of Leukemia two weeks later
Mind you he died a happy man.
