Its much easier to slip down the table than climb up it because the teams at the top are more likely to keep winning games than those at the bottom.

At the moment we are safer than, Rotherham, Forest and the Gills so not all that bad at present.

I don't think we are safe until we get the "magic" 50 points.

It's against Football League rules to relegate any team that gets this many points, Mark McGhee told me.

Not safe yet, Forest and Gillingham are starting to pick up results.
Baring an absoluite disaster and down turn in form we are pretty much ok though.

I am starting to think a mid table finish is acheivable though:eek:

Not safe, it'd be a disaster if we went down from here though.

McGhee said on SCR on Saturday that if we finish the season on 44 points we will be relegated. And as he is the most skill person I know, I say:

We need more points.

(If you were sitting close to me you'd have heard that)

we are on track, but i will not celebrate until its impossible for any of the bottom 3 to catch us. Every game is vital now and if we keep upo the momentum in March and pick up 7 points we will be nearer the safety zone.

The bottom 3 need promotion form to avoid relegation. Saturday proved that they are running out of games. MM knows wghich games to aim for 3 points and if we pick some others up on the way (like Saturday) then all well and good. I think we can pick up enough pints to have 50 by April. Would like to be safe by Easter tho. Then we can have a real go at West Ham (oh to do the double over them) and Ipswich (after being cheated out of 3 points up there i really wann whip these tossers).

think 2 of the 3 places are decided - gills and rotherham.

3rd place is still up for grabs!! if we keep playing the way we have been then we should be ok

2 defeats on the trot could see us back in the dogfight again.

I reckon, with 44 points, we are safe already!

My estimate of the end of season table:-

15 Leicester City 59
16 Crewe Alexandra 58
17 Brighton & Hove Albion 57
18 Wolverhampton Wanderers 54
19 Plymouth Argyle 53
20 Cardiff City 50
21 Coventry City 46
22 Gillingham 43
23 Nottingham Forest 40
24 Rotherham 30
