Anyone own a racehorse or part of one

Me and a few mates are thinking of getting a racehorse and i was just wondering if anyone else had done this on here ad if they had any pointers

I had a 1/20th share in a novice chaser about 15 years ago, which was without any doubt the most expensive and frustrating episode of my life.

If I went into all the grief and misery it would probably crash your PC trying to download it, but suffice to say it "got a leg" a fortnight after we bought it, spent the best part of two years recovering, and then ran twice - so slowly that it was pulled up both times.

Still, don't let me put you off...

I once had a 200th share of something called Goodwood Rocket. Shares cost 400 quid, tho we got back about half of that when it got sold to go hurdling in Ireland. My advice would be same as mtoto's. It's a lot of grief and a bottomless pit of money. If you and your mates want a bit of racing fun, why not invest instead in a decent greyhound and run it at Hove a couple of times a week?

Get a greyhound instead. Much cheaper and you get more for your money. Neither option is a very good investment.
