Apologies if fixtures, but for those that didn't see it, long story short after a blood injury Richard Dunne was forced to wear a fresh shirt in today's Ireland game. However, ref sends him off as the fresh shirt has no number on (and whilst Ireland were defending a corner I might add). The result was a marker pen and this:

Surely ridiculous? I have seen players wear blank shirts after blood/rips LOADS, and what what help was that honestly? Anyone know any different?

Either International Laws are different or the ref has made a mistake. As you say, seen loads of blank shirts worn over the years in the prem and football league. It would be impossible to implement at park level and even county league as most clubs dont have the funds for 4 sets of shirts with each number on them.
