The Commando Gunners - Green Beret
To become a Commando Gunner our soldiers must pass the arduous All Arms Commando Course held at Royal Marines The Training Centre, Lympstone. This earns them the right to proudly wear the coveted Green Beret. 29 (two-nine)Commando Regiment Royal Artillery are spearhead troops trained as amphibious, mountain and arctic warfare specialists. They can equally operate at the other extreme in the desert or jungle. The Commando Gunners are equipped with twelve 105mm Light Guns and Fire Support Teams (FSTs) trained to coordinate their firepower. The FSTs also coordinate other indirect fire support assets such as mortars, fast jets, attack helicopters and the guns from Royal Naval ships. The batteries from 29 Commando Royal Artillery operate around the world on ship with the Royal Marines. We have served in both Afghanistan and Iraq on recent operations and 29 Commando provide offensive fire support to 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines.

We are based across the length of the country; in Arbroath Scotland, Poole Dorset and Plymouth Devon. The Commando Gunners recruit from the South West of England but also attract Commando volunteers from all over the UK. Our address is The Royal Citadel, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 2PD.

I could take care of the Sailing, have won a couple of national titles in the past. There would have to be a Masters or Older section , or I could coach.
I could probable add to Ed's Triathlon team with members of my family. My Niece won the Ladies division in the Brighton Tri a couple of years ago. She seems to enjoy the torture of Ironman more nowdays, off to New York in a couple of weeks.

Maybe, but that sort of Ironman only lasts for 126 minutes.

I am running my 54th full marathon (26.2 miles) on Sunday, in Isle of Man.
I have put the miles in, know the distance well & hopefully will be the first male home from Sussex (only about 100 runners, lol).

Will finish between 3:30-3:45

Interestingly enough just been asked to help form a hockey club here ın Izmir, coaching, umpiring and veen maybe playing a bit. Who knows could end up coaching the fist Turkish Olympic hoıckey team

Although that said, entering in for the Shot Putt, Javelin, Curling, Handball and Hockey could be disastrous. Although I could end up with nearly as many medals as Carl Lewis

And on the winter theme, I'll go for the bobsleigh. I have the experience, having been down the Olympic run in Turin in a four man bob.

That may also some in handy when we get in the pair!

And I am fairly good at table tennis, but I am sure there are people better then me as I played with a table tennis club for about a year a couple of years ago and pretty much everyone there was better then me.

Thanks for bigging me up, Stat. I think putting "beats Wiggins with ease" is certainly exaggerating somewhat, especially putting it in the present tense!
