I used metal halides over my fish tank when keeping live corals. Big, bulky, bloody expensive to run and chuck out loads of heat. Depending on the colour spectrum of the lamps....6500k(kelvin) are closest to natural sunlight but 10,000k give off a lovely crisp blue white light.

They will look superb but won't do much for the carbon footprint of the ground !!!!!
