According to The Argus (http://www.theargus.co.uk/li/traffic.detail.7151168/?ref=ltp) -
A283 Old Shoreham Road both ways closed due to burst water main between A259 Brighton Road and A27 Shoreham By-Pass. There's a burst water main outside the Red Lion Inn and the road has collapsed. Traffic was already slow in the area because of traffic avoiding the A27 flooding.
The map has the incident near the Bridge Inn, rather than the Lion Inn, which would be accurate for the Brighton Road description. I'm guessing someone just got their local Inns wrong. "The road has collapsed" sounds pretty scary.
Not good with the A27 already pretty gridlocked due to 1 lane being closed.
