A potentially ridiculous amount of post-Olympics knighthoods

The government are about to find themselves up the creek after the Olympics. They started handing out honours like confetti during the Blair years (Paul Collingwood MBE for playing just one 2005 Ashes test, anyone?) and now they are going to have to keep up the momentum.

For example -- it's entirely feasible that Rebecca Adlington will win a second gold medal in Beijing. Just like, er Dame Kelly Holmes did in Athens. So that's a damehood for 19-year-old Rebecca then?

The same will go for the ENTIRE track cycling team. Chris Hoy MBE must now be nailed-on for a K. But if Jason Kenny wins double gold will he have to be Sir Jason, aged 20?

It's MADNESS I tell thee.

Too easy to get on the honours list now

No point in having one.

What about a posthomous knighthood for Robert Eaton for his fundraising???
