Against a very good Huddersfield side who destroyed us at the Galpharm and by all accounts with a bit more luck we couls have nicked it, got to be pleased with that.

Well done to Gus and the boys, thats two unbeaten and from small acorns....

Your positive rays of light after games are becoming as routine as the official match thread! :ascarf:

Agreed, we were by far the better team today but things just didn't go our way in front of goal, disappointing but we are certainly moving in the right direction..

The quality of football we are playing is vastly improved - tough run of games to come but results will follow and we will finish around 16th

I got a feeling this Lualua is going to prove instrumental. Lots of Newcastle fans rate him highly.

Yep, out the relegation zone and if we draw against Norwich (or god forbid beat them) then this point will look even better.

Huddersfield were dreadful tonight. Two points dropped.

I'd agree with that. Looks a good point tonight but in 3 or 4 games time we're going to rue these 2 dropped points. First half was pretty dire but last 20 mins or so we looked capable of scoring, but it's too late to start playing after 70 mins

But....we have stopped leaking goals left, right and centre. Surely that's something to build on?

I agree Lord B.

That game was lost because Poyet started with the non scoring poncing about Dickinson and Carole. Why was Murray on the bench.

Poyet IS culpable.

Carole is a laugh, all flash and no substance. Dreadful. Dickinson had a bad night, but feeding off scraps all night didn't help him. Holroyd looked promising and Murray looked like being dropped gave him the kick up the arse he probably needed. Our midfield pairing were too deep too often, which is annoying but we should have won the game. Which is a positive, and a clean sheet, which is the starting point for a good side. We'll get there, it's just a bit boring in the meantime.

We should have won tonight. The last 20 mins (not injury time) was some of the best football I have seen all season!

we need to win home games to help stay up, one point is better than none but would've preferred all 3.

Huddersfield were dreadful tonight. Two points dropped.

Spot on we were woeful in front of goal, however perhaps if Forster had started..........

I am assuming you were not at the game in view of your comment about Huddersfield being a good side.

Agreed, we were by far the better team today but things just didn't go our way in front of goal, disappointing but we are certainly moving in the right direction..

It didn't take much to be better than Huddersfield though did it! And we were only better than them when Carole left the field of play, hopefully permanently.

Huddersfield were dreadful tonight. Two points dropped.

Nail on the proverbial head.
