In the days before club PR departments handed out ridiculous bunting in a bid to add colour and atmosphere (Villa's semi-final streamers on a string reached a new low), the dedicated fan would of course spend the Friday before a big game making their own customised banners. One of my favourites from Wembley '83 was the reference to the absence from the United team of the suspended Remi Moses, a statement that of course has special relevance today!
