There is a word of caution here.

You will note that Grimsby were six points clear of the relegation zone at this time of the season two years ago, yet they finished up bottom of the league and relegated.

We will see some bad times ahead and a bumpy road is inevitable. This is when we all need to support the team and not look for whipping boys.

In the second half today the fans were magnificent and the team responded. We need many repeat performances of that before the season is out and we will survive.

KEEP THE FAITH.

Check out Walsall last season, after boxing day they had 34 points and were 13th in league......still relegated though!

And they were relegated with 51 points on goal diffference. That's gotta hurt. Bloody flukey Pikies should've been the team to go down instead.

I don't think the manner of the win was as important has the win. We knew it was not going to be a pretty win but we showed that we are able to come from behind and win a game. If we had lost today but played outstanding football, I would have been more worried then the fact we played average football but got three points. We can go and build from this. We will STAY UP.

Leicester must be looking anxiously over their shoulders now.If they don't put a decent run together they will get dragged down into the relegation fight

It's gonna be a rocky road ahead with no Currie and Cullip

I will probably upset some, and amuse others with this- but I think we're better defensively without Cullip. We didn't miss him earlier in the season when he was out and we didn't miss him yesterday. Yesterday, at Withdean there was nobody getting bollocked to cover up a DC mistake. Not sure if the same can be said about the Sheffield United game......

Currie is more of a loss to us than DC-look at what he's doing for Ipswich:(

Conceded a penalty (a bit harsh for shirt pulling which gpes on all the time)

We are beating the teams below us which is something we didn't do two years ago. Then we only got relegated on the last day.

We are staying up. We are seven points clear of the relegation zone.

But Grimsby is a bt of an exception. They have been in relegation freefall for a while. Look at where they are now...

EXACTLY. That is the one major difference from 2002/03. That season we lost at home to Grimsby, Walsall, Stoke and Gillingham, and couldn't even beat an already-relegated Sheffield Wednesday.
