You've set out for Rochdale with a couple of kids in the car, feeling the effects of an early start. How about parking up in Northants and letting the train take the strain? At these prices you might even be quids in, depending how much it costs from Manchester Picadilly to Rochdale. I can only presume that the offer includes return tickets, surely it would say £10 each way otherwise. This is a genuine offer, came from Martin Lewis' site; you'll need to fill in and print this form first though, then allow time to queue at Corby (could be busy!)
The 0917 gets to Piccadilly at 1302 and the 1017 at 1402. I know it's a bit late for most, but I've only just spotted it.
