've just spoken to Sussex CCC and they reckon provide it doesn't rain seriously again they will be starting play virtually on time. The outfield apparantly isn't as wet as you'd think and they see no reason why if the weather stays the same they won't get a game in today.

I'll be heading up there about 11.

I don't get something here - apparently, a team can score oodles of runs, be an almost certain winner, have bowled out a couple of the opposition with few runs...... but the weather can so easily bring play to a grinding halt and no winner, with just as little as a light drizzle?

So, the first team's efforts are all in vain?
