Had some good discussions on here over the years and yes, I've made the odd wind-up post. A lot of the stuff on here is boring self-indulgent bollocks though and of course the same topics come up again and again. However every now and then you do get classic threads that make me cry with laughter. Pornomagboy's 'Half time at Leicester' was once such recent example

The 'fans in the pub' analogy is still the best one, but there ARE some sad fuckers on here.

Point taken, but it is an internet message board, which will always attract many varied types of people.

Some post's / threads will upset / annoy some, others will just laugh about them, that is a way of life, in many ways and in my opinion, i do agree with Gritt23s thinking, "It is a big pub" probably one of the better views given.

And like a pub, people will come and go, you will have your regulars and your jokers etc, as I and other mods have tried to explain many times, it is very difficult to get a happy medium at times, and whilst I am at it, I would like to explain that when a mod is contacted, in most cases he / she will respond, when they can!.

Don't get me wrong, I have had PMs that I have ignored, but all I am doing is treating those Pms with the contempt they deserve, there are many members on here who would have to agree that I do get back to them as soon as I can.

Please do remember that the correct way to report a post is via the red triangle on that thread / post, that way ALL the mods get to see the issue.

From a personal point of view, I see NSC as a way of keeping up to date on what is "All things Brighton & Hove Albion", and many other topics / subjects.

And also, please do remember we do not see EVERY post on EVERY thread, there are some threads that because of the title, I just don't bother to open.

I think the analagy to a virtual pub is pretty astute one, but I don't think it is always good thing. So many threads soon descend into abusive slanging matches it certainly puts me off from posting.

Do people ever consider the fact the some of our supporters are female and/or minors? Take this thread for example. Already there are two fucks, one f***ing, two bullshits and one shit. Not to mention an avatar of woman being pleasured by a smiley. Today's poll? On how many continents have you had sex?

It all feels like one big boys club to me and I suspect many people never post on here because of it.

I come on here because sometimes there is some football related opinion and there some posters who genuinely make me smile.

No point getting too wound up even when someone gets right up your nose...by the mornin' it's forgotten.
