I’ve said since last summer that this season gone was his last. New contract signed to hold value to the club like MacAllister but he wants his child to go to a German school + from a first hand source he took his child out of nursery at the end of May so was clear he was gone. Shame it couldn’t...
As I said last pre-season it was always his plan to leave this summer. Like MacAllister he signed a new deal to preserve some value but was never going to see the deal out.
Same time of the season as he was talking up Caicedo & Mac leaving, slightly odd even if Pascal quality is no secret.
Still convinced he’s going back to Germany as much as I was last summer
It actually came from him fairly recently in a bbc Sussex interview I think it was.
He told BBC Radio Sussex Sport: "I think we do that after the season. We will see what's going on. All I can say is I've been here for five years, that's a long time when you come from abroad but I'm enjoying it...
Agreed - when the system works well, he looks really good - when it’s not he looks terrible.
I’d say if we got rid of him how much would it cost to replace him - and given that’s like £15M another year or so probably suits all parties
The difference is both of those score a lot more goals than Gross. Even more so if you take away penalties, which all links back to our 'we need more than just strikers to score goals'
