I was lead to believe by my sauce that the op is a make or break one and we wanted to try and get some more mileage out of him just in case that is it!

Rumour mill is that he has an injury that is chronic so he can play but needs an op to correct it. This will happen off season, but if he does need one I fail to see how a half fit player is benefitting anyone.
