I'm not giving up yet, we had a pretty heavy fall in APRIL about 5 years back.

Since moving to Meopham (North Kent - high ground) last years 2 brief snow falls were the poorest show yet. Another 2010-11 would be superb.

I'm in North Kent, and I've certainly been scraping ice off the car 3 or 4 times this winter, and we did even get a light flurry of snow one day, so let's not get too carried away.

DA13 got a hefty fall this morning. Settled on grass, trees, roofs, and most definitely my car, but the roads were just very wet.

To be fair, the thread got bounced today on the back of snow arriving in Manchester. So, not entirely random. As soon as I heard on the drive to work that snow had arrived in the north of the country today, I absolutely knew this thread would get a bounce.

Is it just me who, whenever I go into this thread looking for Papa Lazarou's updates, I'm picturing him like this?

Thursday night in Orpington would be handy. Just enough that the VAT man can't make it in to our offices for the scheduled visit on Friday.

Marvellous scenes. Meopham itself is particularly prone, as we've often had 2-3 inches of snow when even the next village is clear. Bring it on! Cheer Papa.

I would hazard a guess that Aberdeen actually pays out less than 4 times every 11 years.
