He put it in his manifesto in to order to try and see off the UKIP vote and get the Tories into power. He started the process. Yes lots of other people have contributed to the current situation since then, but it started with his manifesto pledge.

Now reports that it is using multiple attack vectors to spread, not just the original SMB vulnerability used in the wannacry outbreak. Looks nasty.

I have recently done mine, but have done most of the work myself apart from the electrics, window and plastering. All in I have spent about £3.5k - £4k. It has taken me about 4 months though as I have only been doing bits evenings and weekends!
