Hills are generally recommended to make you a stronger runner, so try and take that as a positive. Strava and Garmin both give a Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP) which should reflect the pace as if you’d run on the flat, so check that out and compare to your old times and hopefully it’ll actually show...

[Offers] Prime Day - Amazon gadgets and air fryers etc

Everup? I checked topcashback and Quidco. Think one was 0.55% and the other 0.85% or something pathetic like that.

Argos are doing £220 offer for the 8-in-1 Pizza oven, stand, cover and fuel. But not available for delivery and only have all the items available in a few branches. I'm going to be driving 30 miles on Friday...

Next time someone updates the table (@Curious Orange @knocky1 ) please can you add my new PB of 17:38 which I got at a race tonight (well last night now). I think that’s 78.07% (I’m 44)? Did the Westbury 5k which is part of my local road league (but well over 45 mins away). A 3 lap course round...

Looks like the DVLA will pass on this info to certain registered companies (for a fee). https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/624dabc7e90e0729f6bf8167/inf-266-release-of-information-from-dvlas-registers.pdf

Cross Country (XC) started for me yesterday with the first of 5 fixtures (generally 1st Sunday of the month) in the Oxfordshire League. I'm relatively rubbish at it compared to the road/track, but really enjoy it. Was first time this venue was used, and they had to re-arrange the car parking the...

[NSC] Become an NSC Supporter. If you want. It's entirely optional. No-one has to.

Is that something you could automate? I'd be fine taking the Amazon URL, putting it into NSC and pressing a button to get the affiliated link immediatelly. But to have a manual process when you don't know how long it'd take for someone to respond, I'm not sure I'd be patient enough...

I’ve got the 255 and really like it. I think it was the first/cheapest one to have multi band GPS which really improves the accuracy.

I’ve managed to do it twice, once at each of my closest events. Got lucky with combining decent performances (for me) on the rare occasions when the quick folks gave it a miss. I don’t think I’ve ever come second (stop sniggering at the back), but had a couple of 3rds.

I did 18:15 (75.89%) back in March. I looked for the table after that!

Forgot to mention that I heard from another forum that one of @Bozza 's favourite sites, Keller Sports, has gone into administration. I'd signed up to premium membership and picked up a couple of bargains, a shame to see them go.

Excellent run @Blue&WhiteSea , that must put you right up there on the PB table. Speaking of which it seems March/April seems to be when I peak as last year set a parkrun PB of 18:21 and yesterday I shaved a few more seconds off for 18:15 & 75.89%, it also got me first finsher at my local...

Lurgy here too. Had our running club xmas do last Friday and it seems half the club have been ill since then. My wife had it at the beginnig of the week, then my youngest and now me. Annoyingly it's scuppered my plan to visit Worthing parkrun for the first time this weekend, when we're down...

    [TV] The Traitors - BBC

I've been watching and enjoying it, but for me last night, with the murder in plain sight was really the only time they've kind of forced the traitors to do something that might be picked up upon. Other than a traitor making a huge slip up or breaking down anf confessing, at the moment there has...

Nike site now has a voucher for 25% off items already in the sale (it’s mentioned on the homepage). Some Vaporfly & Alphafly already have 40% off. Just picked up some Vaporfly for £101 with 10% topcashback to come on top of that (I’ve heard Quidco are offering more, but I don’t use them).

My neighbour, M70, is hoping to qualify so asking on his behalf. Does this relate to your finishing position in a qualifying race? So the key is starting as close to the start line as possible so that you might finish before someone who might have a quicker chip time but started later? I...

Buzzing a bit as tonight I clocked 4:59.03 at an open 1 mile track race (first one I’ve done). Had a track training session last night with 300m + 200m reps and ran them all at my goal race pace (roughly 74s per 400m). Was a bit worried that although it’d felt quite easy and there was plenty of...

Tomorrow I have the final vets track league meeting of the season with an 800m. Next week I have entered an open one mile race at Cheltenham. I'll be aiming to beat our club V40 track record which is a rather soft 6:13 (the road record for V40 is 04:58). A long term goal will be sub-5 but I...

What you're describing I would call a running club, whereas I'd say an athletics club is based at a track, although both come under England Athletics. The track based clubs are likely to have lots of stuff for kids, but I guess track & field based, rather than road running (or indeed trail or...
