    [News] The Grenfell Report.

I don't want to send this thread too far away from the recognition of the fault and systemic corruption behind the Grenfell tragedy but I do agree with these quotes in terms of the level of corruption, corporate power, lobbying, government inertia and complicity etc etc that is driving the food...

    [Food] Traditional fish n chips

Scotland has a sad fixation on Haddock. Probably a supply chain thing. Always head for the luxury of Cod and Chips when back in Brighton or Hastings. Here's another question though - skin on or skin off before battering? The former is great if the fish is nicely cooked and the skin crisps up in...

[Albion] Are we done for incoming transfers now?

I think this is our offering to Lisa Nandy's team to keep the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport happy.

    [Albion] 14th

Be interesting to see points per £ of net spend over that 5 year period. Or even points per net £ spent since last ownership change (picking up points above). Would we top that comparison?

    [Albion] New club website

Agree with all on this. A masterclass in how not to do it. A classic case of over design and totally forgetting the 'less is more' principle.

Just re-watched the Sky goals showreel and you can imagine pretty much all of those being scored by him for us in our present team. Lovely stuff (apart from the one against my adopted team up here Dundee Utd). Great to see this a done deal.

[Albion] Jan Paul van Hecke - contracted to June 2027

As well as the solid defensive shift he put in there was a lot of VH to Veltman to Minteh play outs

[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester United *** Official Match Thread ***

Loved that last ten mins - great all round team effort to nick the win. And great atmosphere. Makes up for soaking and badly delayed flight home.

[Albion] A4 size bags at the amex

It's tricky on a 1200 mile round trip in a day for a home match. e.g. looking at the weather tomorrow all / any coats need to be with you, phone charger etc - shoes will be soaked mooching around killing time in the morning...and everything for the day in your pockets....

Looking at the vids - Gruda is absolutely perfect for Fab's "Durchlaufen" command. The ball just sticks to his toe as well. Great news.

Making a 1068 mile round trip for home matches now that the monorail is finished, speeding me in and out of the Amex.

[Politics] Lisa Nandy our new Culture Secretary - football insight

....yes good to have Lisa at the helm for this after all that Nadine-nonsense, but don't underestimate the challenges as the BBC charter renewal work has to start soon to be complete by 2027, and the funding problem will be a key part of that. Yes agree, but more needs to happen to get the word...

[Politics] Lisa Nandy our new Culture Secretary - football insight

Stephanie Peacock MP was also appointed to serve in Lisa Nandy's team at DCMS a couple of days ago and it seems she shares a love of football, this from her Wikipedia entry: "In November 2018, Peacock, alongside fellow Women's Parliamentary Football teammates, Alison McGovern, Tracey Crouch...

    [Misc] Electric Cars

Yes it was for the remainder of the car but it was repairable - I just checked and it is presently taxed so must have been repaired - but the problem for me was the lack of certainty on the diagnosis and worry that I might spend £8k only to spend another £5k and so on etc. It was valued about...
