[Albion] how good are we, actually?

the most disappointing thing so far, despite some good results, is that we spent £200m and so far none of them have wowed, or played. hopefully that will change

[Cricket] Sussex CCC - 2024 edition

Could someone more knowledgeable confirm? Sussex need 12 points to confirm promotion. Of these 3 are in the bag as bowling points, and another will arrive shortly for batting, leaving a requirement of 8. Even if Middlesex get maximum batting points (unlikely) then a draw in this match is enough??

[Food] Inspired by "how fussy are you with food" : Your choice of last supper

I was thinking this over when I woke in the night. There are some fabulous cuisines out there, but mine would be: Bottle of champagne Toasted brioche and foie gras entier, served with a glass of Sauternes Plateau fruits de mer royale - lobster, crab, whelks, crevettes, clams (amandes &...

[Cricket] Sussex CCC - 2024 edition

I like cricket but I'm no expert with the County rules. What will be the tactics? Bat for as long as possible picking up whatever points are achievable, and hope to build a position where the draw would be good enough?

[Food] How fussy are you with food ?

In France, tete de veau was fine, followed with proper earthy steak tartare. I was never a fan of Andouillette though. Tripe in Vienna, tick all good. Jelly fish in Bangkok looked and tasted like a plastic carrier bag

There used to be a Chinese Restaurant in Preston Street called "Good Friends" that had a separate Chinese menu. I went with a friend a long time ago: chicken feet, boiled pig intestines & fish lips were the mainstay. It was "interesting" and the chef (who spoke no english) came out to shake our...

    [Albion] Catering

Quite. I didn't bother to check the price of a burger. £7 ffs. The second "patty" was so overcooked and crispy, and of indeterminable meat I actually checked with my son that we hadn't ordered a bacon burger. It was that bad

    [Brighton] Annie Feray Mutrie

She died in Lower Rock Gardens in 1893, born 1826 according to ancestry.com. Born in Lancashire. Her "Feray" name also suggests Huguenot roots as this is a common anglicization of Ferré but i have no proof of this, at all. In 1891, just after your painting was executed, she lived in Folkestone
