Lucca is awesome. Get lost in the alleys and back streets. Florence, gorgeous.
My visits to Tuscany were never too planned and you'll stumble on wonderful villages and towns
Was having €8 bottles of red in Lucca for lunch.
Get at them early, stroke of luck and if we go 2 up then the ground should be shaking from the atmosphere. As long as we have a go and get close I'm happy.
IF we get to 3 then i think some wee might come out
Perhaps will give a reminder of where we are at as a team despite the hype.. often inflated by the media. If we want to compete with the giants of Europe more regularly we have to be more consistent and continue to invest.
One of the most exciting seasons we are likely to ever experience but...
3 of us going into Milan early Wednesday and back Friday evening. Its quite a pleasant journey if you like to see countryside. Have been all over Italy and the route is wonderful
Not personally, thankfully.
A previous job (banking related) I dealt with numerous customers who had been scammed or victims of fraud. One stand out though was a lovely chap who was contacted out the blue by someone claiming they knew him years before. Said he had a betting thing going whereby...
Play to the whistle and VAR will only speak to the ref if there is somethingajorly missed.
There will always be (even either VAR) decisions open to interpretation like fouls, hand balls, were they interfering with play etc.
Referees are then held to account and responsible to ref the game...
With regards to atmosphere, I personally think we just don't have enough people willing to sing on a regular basis, only if the team are winning or a big game.
Atmosphere if often generated by the game, circumstances, opposition etc and can't be forced, we haven't got the fan base to have non...
Absolutely, if someone spilt a bit of beer on me in the celebrations I'd take it and see if they fancied buying me one to drink and not wear. If someone threw one at me I'm annoyed but accept its likely to happen and its bad luck
We seemed to be surrounded by pleasant Ajax fans in the JCA whereas Marseille there was pyro and stones being thrown in the lower tier so a few beers going up isn't a major concern.
Understandable that their stewards were tougher with us
For me, there is a difference between holding a full pint.. scoring a goal.. celebrating and some of it spilling but making a conscious effort to keep hold of it. Possibly getting knocked out your hand and it hit the deck
OR
Having a full pint, scoring and then taking aim and launching it as far...
There were mistakes as I say but with regards to offside, generally the mistakes were so very close they were easier to accept.
General referee performances are different.
Possibly controversial but I preferred offside pre VAR. Linesmen will make mistakes and the odd clanger but generally they got most correct, the ones they got wrong were so so tight so it felt more acceptable than these today.
I like it. Isn't a Beatles classic but wouldn't look out of place on a late album/early John.
People's expectations must have been really high given the comments
