I am going to help these protesters at Heathrow.

If you've ever taken the trouble of visiting a camp like this one, you'll soon become aware that one of the most important things is cleanliness. Extraordinary measures are taken by everyone to achieve this. Find it amazing that nobody is interested in the actual issues involved here and that's...

I am going to help these protesters at Heathrow.

They are actually out there not just to stop a runway that even if built, will never be used (peak oil) but to defend your and their democratic rights. Quoting Monbiot: (http://www.monbiot.com/archives/2007/08/07/this-is-now-a-protest-for-democracy/) How else do the critics of direct action...

would you leave england,if you could.?

Moved to Switzerland in 86 (first job) and came back in 97. After 3 years, had had enough so moved back to Switzerland. Love England but for me, the basics in the UK just didn't come up to expectations. Public transport, schools and health care were the major downfall. I'd also had enough of...

So In 20 years time when the oil runs out ..

Sure biofuel can be produced by used chip fat but there's hardly enough chip fat to go around. Once peak oil hit's, all imported food will either cease or be too expensive so we will have to produce more food locally. There's just not enough land to sustain (feed) ourselves AND produce biofuel...

So In 20 years time when the oil runs out ..

Biodiesel is not the answer. Rain forests are being destroyed to make way for palm trees that produce biodiesel (so co2 rises). Agricultural land that we're going to need to feed an ever increasing population is being used to produce biodiesel. Check out the facts...

    Want cheaper petrol?

Ben SCAMmell Don't want to spoil things but isn't the name abit obvious? As to the oil companies, they do react really slowly in the uk. Over here (Switzerland) and of course the companies are the same, they'll react up or down almost immediately depending on the current spot prices. Guess...
