My opinion is, the only southern team likely to win the play offs are Fulham, so I want them to stuff Reading. Plus I like Fulham and Reading are tinpot.
I think you'll find most teams that go up have this certain amount of fortune regarding injuries and suspensions, we are no different. Settled teams tend to put out better results. That is not to say that Baldock was out for around half the season and we still managed to do ok in front of goal.
I think if we all admitted it, we all feel a bit let down/disappointed with the last three games, especially Brizzle at home. Today was gutting without a shadow of a doubt, and the way the goal came. BUT we are up, we are Prem. We are in the elite. That has to be the main goal, and we achieved it.
Sorry, I should have said what to do, but I was glued to the game. I opened the commentary stream and the excellent HD stream, synced them and listened to the commentary on one whilst watching the HD link. Job done, worked well.
I'd have taken play offs again, looking at the quality of clubs that came down. We have outdone expectations without a doubt. But that 89th minute howler, oh boy. I shall go get my hair cut and forget it.
I think the psychology of it is, and the binfest for a promoted club really needs to stop, we were 5 minutes from being champions, that is really gutting. We have had the best season in lower leagues since 1979 and should embrace it, but 89 minutes against 10 men, and a shocker of a mistake will...
Reminds me of the Ray Clemence one (1977?) v Scotland, complete and utter howler, he's been great this season, but that one kept out and we're champions.
This is quite insane, you either love it or hate it. Me? I do love it but is it football as we know it?
