Oh I agree and there are still plenty of opportunities for businesses in the town with empty shops but the charity shops do bring people to the town centre who hopefully then use the proper shops.

Living in Charity Shop on Sea I would much rather have shops being used than empty shops.

The shirt in question to a Preston fan is worth considerably more than a club shop bought one but to any other fan it is worth nothing. Although of course is not worth £1,500.

So a match worn shirt from a notable event in a clubs history isn't unique and worth the same as a shirt you can go into the club shop and purchase. I assume you say the same about first edition of historic books or the Mona Lisa.

So why do bhafc match worn shirts go for in excess of £100 whenever they are auctioned then. A certain Paul McShane one went for considerably more.
