I kind of get your emotion, but I don't second it.This is our first season back in the big time for many years. To stay in it takes experience. We need to get through that first year, pick up the experience and move on.
He's played a fair few games now, mostly pretty decent, what is so premature about giving a player praise for actually being decent? I can only guess you are firmly in the camp of him being shit and cannot wait for him to f'uck up.
