    [Misc] The NHS

No I really did say we still pay NHI, which gives us all a stake in the business.

No, you give them guidelines on how to run it. If we still pay in, we still have a voice. Govt. sets their tasks and they run by it.

    [Misc] The NHS

No mate, I didn't, I said still pay our NHS. That gives a budget, the company then knows what they have to play with. The NHS is still a company, even if in public hands, it still has a budget, it still knows what it has to play with. Unfortunately, Govt. have no clue how to run a business...

Despite the past couple of years, the trains are a much better option than they were 30 years ago.

My girlfriend is an admin in the NHS, so I have a teeny bit of inside knowledge. I worked for the MoJ for four years so I know the machinations of the civil service. It is nothing about being a vital job and all about keeping employment figures up. This is why I am saying take it out of...

    [Misc] The NHS

Much of it is privatised anyway. Why don't we just rid ourselves of politicians and make a proper go of it? This NHS under the Govt. is lost in the 1940s, they have no idea how to run, what is essentially, a business, people's health is a business, like it or hate it. Would we not be better off...

    [Misc] The NHS

Is it time to get rid, bring in a firm that can run our health system? Or should we stick with politicians that use it like a political football whilst people die? We could make it private with systems in hand to make it a proper health institution, or we could leave it as a political football...

[Albion] Hughton on borrowed time now

I remember these threads in L1, when we were desperate to stay in that league. We have moved on, quite spectacularly, but we still have idiots on here needing to be a drama queen. I think these threads are more about them than our club.
