Also he signed a new contract with Millwall at the end of May. Def won't be arriving at the Amex anytime soon.

    [Football] Confident or not

Expecting a long season of tough games with very few goals involved in them at the moment, so currently expecting a position of 14-18 at the moment. Midfield still needs a bit of creativity added to it and another striker wouldn't go a miss either to push up to nearer halfway mark. Really think...

    Joaquín Larrivey

Wouldn't surprise me if our scouts had taken several looks at him, but instead decided to plump for Hemed instead. Both seems to be very similar players, tall, strong and useful in the air. Goal records are similar as well, both getting a dozen or so goals the past few seasons. Joaquín...

    Guy Demel

The crying need for an additional centre back has been evident since before last season ended. Surprised we weren't linked to either Matt Mills or Alex Pearce, either would have been a lot more preferable to Demel.

Certainly is and we already have three right backs over 30, so.... def need another experienced centre back, do hope they're under 30, otherwise might be a case of needing to recruit three centre backs next summer.

    Dean Cox

Seriously hope the Albion have many, many players higher up on their wanted list than Cox. Maybe a good player for a League One team, but can he have the same impact in the championship? Somehow, I doubt it.

Manchester City sign Sterling for £49m.

They also reportedly have a major interest in signing Paul Pogba that would also probably played a part in his decision.

Plus Rian O'Sullivan , Jayson Molumby, Thomas Byrne and Daniel Mandriou have all recently been welcomes into the u-18 squad.

Manchester City sign Sterling for £49m.

Can only commend Liverpool for getting that high a fee, especially given Sterlings unprofessionalism in recent months. Crazy that it's larger than all of the following cost: Ozil: £42m Aguero: £38m Mata: £37m Costa: £32m Hazard: £32m Sanchez: £32m Fabregas: £30m Silva: £30m

An England Squad of Over-rated players

Welbeck may not have done much in an Arsenal shirt recently, but you can't quibble about his England record. 14 goals in 33 appearances at international level isn't bad, especially for a player who doesn't always fill the striker position for the team.

    Fabian Delph

In fairness his new deal was signed in January just gone and the Player (and agent ) were in a very strong bargaining position as his original contract was due to expire this summer - the clause at least guaranteed that Villa received some money for the player.

    Fabian Delph

Agree with you about it being a strange decision. Milner made 45 appearances for City last season, some in centre midfield, but he played a lot out on the right, some on the left of midfield and even some up front for city. He has that versatility, Delph on the other hand can only really play...

    Fabian Delph

He had a release clause written into his contract when he renewed last season, that if a club who had secured Champions League football came in for him he could leave for that figure this window.

    Our manager

Definitely this. Keane taking over full time would be the logical move, seeing as he's already O'Neills number 2 and that he quit his assistant managers role at Villa to concentrate on his Ireland role. Wouldn't surprise me if Hughton goes onto manage Ireland later in life though.
