Ok, and I'm sure he's smart enough to realise our 'plan' can not, and should not, be to compete financially with Man City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool, however much we might wish we could. We can certainly compete with them on the pitch as we have shown repeatedly and hope...
Absolutely not. One way or another, the RDZ era will come to an end at some point and we'll still support our club, but it's been fantastic so far and I'd like plenty more!
I think he's a fantastic young prospect, alongside Adingra JPVH as most improved players this season. Love the way he's added toughness and tenacity to his game.
Each to their own, but anyone, barring health/personal issues, who doesn't stick around to applaud the players after a) one of the all time great comebacks or b) to mark the conclusion of our first ever (and very exciting) European campaign, should hang their head in shame.
Of course winning any major trophy would be our best ever. Worth noting that West Ham finished last season on 40 points and we have 39 already with 11 to play. In terms of league form we have coped much better than them, at our first time of asking and minus £150m of midfield talent, with the...
Faith in RDZ, of course, but I do think we've over done the changes recently. Hard for incoming players to do well when there are so many changes each game. I would prefer a bit more continuity. Mind you, we don't know about management of injuries/fitness issues unless someone ruled out completely.
No idea what went on behind the scenes, but on the pitch Sanchez was a major part of our best ever season. I would be very happy if he stuck with us and battled for his place - we probably need 2 quality keepers for the two games a week season ahead and Sanchez more than good enough to be one of...
Given the abundance of grey areas outlined here, has football been enhanced by the pursuit of the illusion that VAR will provide significantly more reliable/fair decisions? The delays VAR causes frequently undermine the emotional experience of fans in the ground and even watching on TV - an...
If VAR incapable of seeing and awarding the penalty for the foul on Mitoma it has no value. Yes, we've benefited from a few over the season, but if a foul as blatant as that isn't called, we really should go back to the pre VAR days of celebrating goals when they are scored and expecting...
