I was lucky enough to be on the pitch prior to the game as one of the people holding the giant shirt flag. All I can say is the noise was deafening especially the rendition of Sussex by the Sea. Raised the hairs on my neck.
I went, absolutely blown away by the performers. Duncan James was excellent and Justin Haywood can still belt out a tune at 75 years old. Stage effects stunning.
I just turned up at Eastbourne station and was directed to platform 3 now on route to Brighton, train nearly empty. Driver said on tannoy not running to timetable, when they have a driver and guard they will run a train. Currently at Berwick.
The first "extra seats" were in place for the Chelsea friendly at the start of the season. They were in one of the blocks in the East Lower. I was at the AMEX for a meeting a couple of weeks before, and saw the whole block empty at the time.
