Now, I'm very much in the U2 are shit and Bono's a nob camp but in this instance the U2 nomination perfectly fits the bill. Unlike most of the songs in this thread 'Where the streets have no name' is both an iconic 80s anthem and has a great intro.
It's also one of the few songs of there's...
Apparently not.
How did he manage to finish above Verstappen? I only saw the last 15 laps or so, so don't really know how he did it.
The fight at the top was a lot of fun too.
Well, at least we weren't smash and grabbed. Losing would have been galling. Very much a missed opportunity though.
Fair play to Ipswich, they got the point they came for and look a better side than any of the three that came up last year.
I, if not fully agreeing with, certainly sympathise with a lot of what you say. And it is very eloquently written. It is the sort of measured post that I always want these threads to be full of rather than the sneering ones(from either side).
You've slightly misunderstood my post, probably due to my poor wording in it.
What I meant was that the opening post reads to me like a deliberate attempt to provoke a certain response around the idea of nationalism. We know that a few posters will get purple faced with rage at the idea of...
If there's one thing capable of equaling the predictable 'outrage' at Carsley not singing the national anthem it's the equally predictable alternate response of people falling over themselves to say how much of a shit they don't give about it and how much they don't care about supporting...
I love coming back to Brighton but maybe that's because I come back as a tourist.
I love the fact that it has the downs to the north and the sea to the south. Where I grew up both were accessible in under 10 minutes walking.
I think the north Laine and the lanes are great and there's loads of...
This looks promising. A quick tot up says that we've finished in 52 different positions in 97 seasons. Surely with 38-46 different match days per each of those 97 seasons we've been able to end a day in every one of the 92 positions.
How do you judge occupied?
Is it the table immediately after your game? Or after all the games for that match day are played?
The former would give us more chance as we might have snuck into a position for an hour or two before dropping out again.
Funnily enough I tried reading it as a student too.
I think I'm very much in a minority with my opinion on it, I just found it interminably dull and arduous to read.
Four times?!
I genuinely struggled toreas four pages at a time!
Each to their own though. I personally thought wolf hall was a really good read but I see you're not alone in not enjoying it.
