Reactionary crowd. If we started like that and scored in 3, 13 and 21 the atmosphere in the first half would have been amazing, if they come back 3-2 it would have been squeaky bum time

Also, the noise would probably have been even better if those 3 goals had gone in right in front of the north stand, as vocal reaction times are quicker and volume louder when everyone can clearly see exactly what's happening
On 37 minutes, the NS half emptied (far more than ever before) as folk sought solace through the demon drink.

I was sat in WSL, I can confirm that WSU started at least a couple of chants that were heard in WSL so we could join in. The NS was 'really' loud at a couple of points & just as we were about to join in, we realised there were 2 different songs on the go. It was impossible to know which chant to pick, so we didn't. It's the 1st time I've been able to hear the mismatch from WSL to such a degree. On one hand it was great that the NS was so loud that we could hear both songs near the halfway line but it makes it really difficult to join in! The karaoke boards were out of sync with the singing for Sussex by the Sea. I mumbled a bit about merry bugles & mowing. 
Kudos to the Japanese couple in front of us (I'm assuming they were Japanese), they were probably early 60's but I'm rubbish at judging age. Freed From Desire played & after having a little look around to see what everyone was doing, started bouncing around with the rest of us! Sorry @Han Solo it's a track that everyone can get involved with & creates a sense of unity, no words to learn & you can decide how much you want to participate. Clapping, scarf twirling (I finally mastered that during the Europa league matches) or just dancing around looking like a tw*t. That is pretty much my sequence.

I don't know where you sit, but from WSU in the first half Spuds were annoyingly loud, with good reason as they were well on top. However, seconf half they barely raised a song and stood there in glum silence.

From the NS the Spurs fans weren’t specially loud in the first half, just the mild sound of about three songs. Hard to hear the songs, just guessing, the Angie song?

I'm sure it's only coincidence but when you come from 2-0 down against one of the best teams in the best league in the world, and then beat them 3-2 it's almost as if the atmosphere ramps up a few levels.

The result and flow of a match obviously plays it's part in any match not just the Amex, there's only a handful of British clubs that create a excellent atmosphere whatever is happening on the pitch.
It's a bit of a old cliche saying the crowd are our twelfth man but yesterday for the first time in a long time the crowd actually did play their part,the players felt it and for sure helped them get over the line.
It's really strange that it doesn't happen much because it's so much more enjoyable whenever there's a rocking atmosphere,I'd love the Amex to generate a intimidating atmosphere week after week whomever we play,it bloody well helps the team so why not join in and get your monies worth

The team performance raised the crowd. Not just the first and second goals but the players fighting spirit, from HT winning duals everywhere.
Definitely. And visible emotion. Minteh almost crying with relief after his goal and Rutter going mad. Lots of pent up frustration released by young men who were feeling a lot of pressure and crowds feed off it. Consequentially Spurs were quite vocal and shell shocked in silence second half. I find that a much more relatable response than doing coordinated salutes and claps and hitler youth style chanting while some fatty with his top off screams orders at you through a megaphone.

Absolutely. Maybe the loons on here need to watch the game again on Sky. Even the commentators said how quiet it was after we took the lead. You could here a pin drop.

Yeah it was weirdly quiet on the telly at one point - commented on being shocked into silence or something. But the second half up to taking the lead sounded great, and then near full time. I guess a bit of anxiousness kicked in around holding on?

It’s not just the Amex.. was at Chelsea last week, they were quiet AF despite that extraordinary first half.. Everton likewise, Liverpool silent apart from YNWA, Man U shite, Arsenal and Spurs quiet until they score .. most impressed I’ve been by a home crowd recently is Forest away a couple of years ago when they beat us after our Cup semi

A lot of crowds are quiet until something is happening. Forest an exception. In all the places I've been to, Leeds is in a class of its own. Deafening. When the equalised against us in 2022 I thought me ears were going to cave in.

Oddly, it was a ground I had never been to. We didn't play them in the years I went to almost every away match. And after, for some reason, I just couldn't be bothered even though it was a new one.
My line managing work colleague, who is based in Yorkshire, is a Leeds fan of 50 odd years standing. Despite speaking virtually for up to six hours a week, the Leeds visit was the only time we've met properly in person. We both seem to watch each others teams now, so I take an interest in how they are doing. They're on the box so much I end up knowing more about them than I do Albion. As we've become such good friends, I've moved from being an Un-Leeds fan to wishing them well. It's hard not to when they are just a pleased as I am at Albion doing well and I was told I could just take time off at a moments notice if I did choose to travel to Europe last year. It also helps that my colleague is very rational about them and doesn't have the sense of entitlement we associate with their supporters.
