Public proposals make me cringe. Also it puts unacceptable pressure on the recipient of the proposal to say yes.

If you're ever thinking of making such a big romantic gesture, please reconsider.

Was inside having a therapeutic pint this time but I'm guessing the potential groom can't have been there for the proposal early in the amex years when the happy couple were serenaded with "you don't know what you're doing" and "does she take it up the arse"

I proposed to my Mrs on the South Downs, partly so I could see if anyone was in view from miles around.

Never get why people would want to do it in front of a load of people they don’t know.

On balance Reynolds interviewing double Olympic bronze medalist Amber Anning last week against Ipswich was better than him proposing to Adele today on behalf of Dan. I rather wish I'd gone for a Harvey's today at half time instead.
