[Football] Albion returning to Withdean

I don’t see the poor old V’s doing a Steyning, have had a rough year or so of results

It's quite run down now. Just the north stand remains and it's covered in pigeon shit (with actual mounds of it in places). Definitely worth the nostalgia trip but it's a very basic and poorly kept facility

Is it operated by B&H Council by any chance?

Have they announced a date for this?

Think it’s just Varndinians nowadays. If I have nothing else on I might go and watch that for old times sake.
Please don't go naked, at the very least wear your old poncho.

Visited three or four times with Horsham YMCA when they have played Varndeanians at Withdean. Be prepared to come away disappointed at the sorry state of the place, it's looking very run down and in need of a lot of tlc.

I'm gutted, we (Arundel FC) lost 3 v 5 to Varndinians in the last round!

Has it definitely been ruled out as a potential site for the women's stadium due to the incompatibility of football and athletics operating in the same place?
Don't think it's been ruled out at all. Ultimately the women's stadium won't host a colossal amount of games a season so it would be good for it to have another use.

An advantage is that a fair amount of it is already there- pitch, 1 stand, floodlights, changing rooms etc. obviously a downside is the running track

Would love it to be Withdean, I’d be local resident in favour. But can’t see them building a 10k stadium in such a residential area
