Blixa and the boys superb Wednesday...A drill, shopping trolly, numerous pipes and curly metal things all bashed, yet it was the slow numbers esp Grazer Damm and How Did I Die that hit home for me...

Went to see Ride at Chalk last night. Utterly superb and I was delighted that the new album was so prominent in the set as it is an absolute belter. The gig will always be better than the game.

I booked the ticket ages ago, and I have learned from bitter experience that I will always enjoy the gig more than the match. Got home in time watch the game in full having successfully avoided the score.

Just spotted that Interlaker, the new venture of former Lonely The Brave vocalist David Jakes are playing the Hope and Ruin tomorrow night. That's my kick off to the weekend sorted, the singles and pre-released album tracks bear all the melodic epic goodness of the first two LtB albums.

Saw them there early Summer and it was brilliant- a pre Glastonbury warm up. It’s not really the type of music I would listen to but I find them very entertaining.
