Same as the last 40 years then?
With his 83 year old manager in 2023. You decide.

Nothing can match the original line up. Brighton Poly 1984 .
I was a JCL so at the Dome in 1985. Marr seems a very sound bloke, less said about the other fella the better

I like the music they both have made - and make - but I wouldn't see either live or go to them for their political views or legal positions. The Smiths were great, but it's better they don't reform for any cash-driven tour.

Pretty sure Marr would have done this as a pre-emptive move to stop the decrepit pub rocker touring under the name and if he didn't he should

To be honest, I'm with JM on this. Recent gigs spoiled by noisy, neon-lit bars, with people continually pushing past to get served...in the middle of a set FFS. Oxford O2 is a prime example and a venue I won't go to again. If you just want to drink and chat, better to go to a pub.
You remind me that at countless gigs at the Dome in the 70s the bar was open between sets.

I was at a small venue on Oxford to see Ulrich Schnauss a few years ago and some **** at the bar wouldn't shut up.
Marr, not a nob. Fact.

It's looks like the wheels were in motion quite a while ago.

A lot of theorising over the last few days why Marr did this but his statement (if true) makes sense.

I'd struggle these days to believe a word Morrissey says.

That said 2018 was the year when Morrissey truly nailed his colours to far right mast, so there might be something in that.

This was in a 1940's theatre where the bar was outside the auditorium.

The bars were open for the support act.

Had no interest in chatting. Did like many others fancy a beer though like I have done at pretty much every gig I've ever been to.

Brighton factually.....

My pet hate is cameras being held up high to film a gig, that is just as irritating as folks pushing past you to get a pint.
As for talking at gigs, reserved for the back, if they are chatting in the middle or front, I suggest the band or artist is boring or those chatting are not there to see them, so they should move to the back.

With you on that. Sadly it is creeping into football as well. And it's not just kids either. I had a bloke sat in front of me at the United game, I would say in his 60s, film probably about 90 seconds of the game at a time. I don't recall anything happening when he was filming. Surely these people don't go home and watch these videos back?

Don't get me started on flags at festivals. Glastonbury is a joke now.
